Bladt completes initial lift for Beatrice jackets
Bladt has begun joining the upper part of the jacket foundations for the Beatrice offshore windfarm to the lower part of the structures

Bladt Industries in Denmark has completed the first lift of the platform for the upper jacket structure for the first of a total of 30 jacket foundations for the Beatrice offshore windfarm.

The jacket foundations for the windfarm have a height of approximately 70m and weigh up to 900 tonnes, making them significantly larger than jacket structures previously fabricated at Baldt's manufacturing centre at Lindoe.

Also involved in the project are Smulders, which is building  28 jackets, and BiFab, which is responsible for 26 jacket substructures.

The Beatrice offshore windfarm project was given the green light for construction by owners SSE (40 per cent), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (35 per cent) and Red Rock Power Limited (25 per cent) after reaching financial close.
